Virtual Summer Internship: WinSPIRE Applications now open until February 19th
WinSPIRE (Women in Science Promoting Inclusion in Research Experiences) is a 6-week long summer internship program designed for women-identifying and nonbinary high school students. They pair high school students with women-identifying/nonbinary scientists to mentor in STEM fields such as chemistry, biology, geology, computer science, and math. WinSPIRE is a program designed to give you a hands-on look into the world of science with direct connections to scientists in the field. No prior experience is required. This year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the program will be primarily virtual and will combine 1 on 1 and small group mentoring, with hands-on experiments, data analysis, and college prep workshops. If you think science is cool and want to learn more about research, college, and STEM careers through an immersive program, this is the internship for you!
